BRIEF HISTORY

Zinovi Educational Foundation (ZEF) was founded by Rev. Dr. Lola George-Akoke (D.Min), a Reverend and an Educationist. It was commissioned in December, 2006. The Foundation was born out of a yearning desire to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor; and to communicate right values and attitudes in order to raise a new and well-balanced generation. The first set of children was welcomed on 8th May, 1997.
In partnership with Treatment Assistance, India, the Foundation also gives free heart surgery to two children below age fifteen years annually, and organizes free health seminars and consultations by inviting Specialists from top hospitals from Nigeria and India.

OUR VISION

A Nigeria where illiteracy and ignorance is eradicated, or completely minimized; and youths are empowered for a brighter future.

OUR MISSION

  • 1. Give each child that comes through our doors access to free and qualitative education.
  • 2. Allow for the successful completion of academics for disadvantaged Nigerian students up to the higher education levels.
  • 3. An environment where enough information and resources are provided that will enable a decrease in unemployment among Nigerian youths and women.
  • An academic environment where the social, mental, emotional and physical needs of every child can be met.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English.

OPERATIONAL FRAMEWORK

There is a Board of Trustees which sets out the board policy agenda. The management is vested in the Executive Council made up of the President of the Foundation, Vice President, Accountant, Public Relations Officer and an Executive Secretary who is the Chief Administrative Officer

ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

ZEF has its own structure of organization through which monitoring is carried out on regular basis by Voluntary Project Officers and Coordinators. The funding agency shall monitor, evaluate and receive the financial and physical accomplishment report annually.

SUSTAINABILITY

The sustainability of this project is guaranteed because it involves the participation and collaboration of all concerned communities.

EXPECTED OUTPUT

The Long-Term Output: The women and children of the projects area are
empowered academically and economically to be able to participate
equally and actively in the development of their communities, thereby helping to sustain the projects through their eventual contributions and involvement.
